As Executive Vice President of Product and Brand Management, David Figler brings over 35 years of experience in team development, strategic sourcing, product line creation and marketing. His skills and expertise have resulted in consistent top sales and net margin performance year after year for some of the biggest names in retail. David has years of accumulated experience in what makes products better, faster, efficient, affordable, stylish and well-designed.
David earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. Directly out of school, he started in the executive training program at Federated Department Stores and from there went into the buying offices at Jordan Marsh and then the Bradlees chain of department stores. As a merchant, David developed his skills in evaluating other brands to determine their quality, pricing and features. He then ran teams of buyers, coaching them on how best to achieve the goals and financial plans of the company.
From there David worked his way up to management positions, first as Vice President of Divisional Merchandise Management at Staples, and then as Vice President of General Merchandise Management at Sears Holding Corporation. While at Sears, David’s experience in the tools, hardware and paint division, gave him first-hand experience with the internal development of Sears’ Craftsman line of products.
Later, as Vice President of Products at Brookstone, David continued to hone his knowledge of product development and management. During his eight years of experience with Brookstone Labs, he had a direct hand in the development of around 150 products every year, including coordinating with merchandising, product sourcing and development, design, engineering and QA/QC teams. This experience taught him to understand what went into the development of quality products; how brands could be more efficient, better and more cost effective; and to anticipate the kinds of products that will best meet future demand.
Today, as EVP of Product and Brand Management at Infinity Massage Chairs, David utilizes his expertise in product development, product sourcing, leadership and strategy to develop premium top-of-the-line massage chairs and personal massagers. David brings his passion in developing the Infinity line of products, finding new product opportunities and bringing them to the public. He is committed to ensuring that all of Infinity’s products are of the highest quality, meet all certifications and are socially responsible.
David is determined to ensure that Infinity is a leader in addressing the continued need for massage within the Western market. As the health and wellness benefits of massage become more accepted, he foresees Infinity and its related brands to be at the forefront of the home massage industry.
