Most people are all too aware of the major stress sources in their lives, from money, to your work commute, noisy neighbors, etc. But stress and anxiety don’t just have to come from obvious or even negative sources. These surprising reasons for being stressed out could be low-grade challenges and don’t overwhelm you in the moment, but are indeed impacting your body and mind. Here are some of the unexpected reasons why you may be stressed and in need of a massage.

Stress is contagious, when someone is worried, you tend to worry.

This can make you more aware of what is going on in your friends lives that you are not able to see or talk to often, so if they are having a stressful situation broadcasted on Facebook, in turn this can add more stress to your life. Also it can be associated with negative body image and prolonged breakup pain.

Spending too much time on computer devices may make real-life interactions extra stressful. Using the devices near bedtime also has shown in tests that they lead to sleep problems.
